Chat GPT Interview with Slim Othmani

Chat GPT is on the verge of transforming the way we work, live, and interact. Tasks that once took weeks—or even months—can now be done in seconds. Professions like coding, law, and design are facing a major upheaval. In fact, nearly 90% of human jobs and activities will be impacted. In light of this, it’s essential to hear from visionary leaders like Mr. Slim Othmani, a renowned entrepreneur, activist, and former high-level athlete. His insights on this global reinvention offer clarity on what’s at stake.

Redefining Excellence: The New Age of Intelligence

The rise of Chat GPT challenges everything we know about excellence and intelligence. What was once considered high-value work is now repetitive and can be done by machines. This shift demands a radical reevaluation of what is truly valuable in human contribution. And leading this reinvention requires bold, creative, and iconoclastic thinkers. Slim Othmani is one such individual, offering a fresh perspective on this transformative moment.

Below is a preview of his thoughts on the AI revolution.

First, did you know Chat GPT?

S.O.: Yes, absolutely. I’m what you could call an “early adopter” of the product. I like to stay ahead of the curve.

If you had only one question to ask Chat GPT, what would it be?

S.O.: Did God have a choice in creating the universe as it was created?

What do you think Chat GPT cannot do?

S.O.: Consciously say “I am Karl,” as a nod to Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” and Descartes’ “I think, therefore I am.” It lacks true consciousness.

Are you afraid for your job? Are you afraid of being replaced?

S.O.: No. My first experience with artificial intelligence back in 1984 fascinated me. It made me realize both the potential and the limitations of AI—particularly in relation to human consciousness. While AI now has access to humanity’s knowledge, there are still fundamental limits.

Are you afraid for the future of your children?

S.O.: Yes. These three letters encapsulate the gravity of this ongoing revolution—one that will reshape knowledge, human identity, and society.

What is the future of your profession?

S.O.: In the agri-food industry, I see that almost all functions could soon be replaced by intelligent robots. This shift will be unsettling for many, but it’s inevitable. To adapt, we’ll need to rethink our role in the profession—likely by investing in automated, robot-controlled production sites.

What is the one question Chat GPT cannot answer, in your opinion?

S.O.: “Do you like dark chocolate?”

Next, Mr. Slim Othmani asked ChatGPT the same set of questions to compare responses.

S.O.: I put ChatGPT to the test. I’ll let you judge for yourself.

First, did you know about Chat GPT?

ChatGPT: Yes, I know about ChatGPT since I am ChatGPT.

If you had one question to ask Chat GPT, what would it be?

ChatGPT: If I had to ask ChatGPT, I would ask: “What are the most promising technological advances in AI for the next few years?”

What do you think it cannot do?

ChatGPT: ChatGPT cannot feel emotions, be creative like humans, or understand concepts that are outside its database or that haven’t been explicitly defined.

Are you afraid for your job? Are you afraid of being replaced?

ChatGPT: As an AI, I don’t have a “job,” nor do I fear being replaced. However, I understand that some humans may fear the impact of AI on their jobs.

Are you afraid for the future of your children?

ChatGPT: I don’t have children, as I am an AI, but I understand that some people are concerned about the future of their children due to technological and economic changes.

What is the future of your field/profession?

ChatGPT: The future of my field, artificial intelligence, seems promising. However, ethical considerations and social impacts will be crucial in shaping how AI will evolve and affect society.

What is the one question you could answer, but Chat GPT couldn’t?

ChatGPT: I cannot answer subjective questions based on personal experiences or emotions. For example, I cannot answer questions like “How do you feel after achieving a significant personal accomplishment?”

How Do ChatGPT’s Responses Make You Feel?

In comparing human and AI responses, one thing is clear: ChatGPT lacks the depth and subjectivity of the human experience. While it can process information, it cannot offer the richness of emotion, creativity, or personal opinion that humans bring to the table. But as AI continues to evolve, the question remains—will it ever bridge that gap?
